This noticeboard provides editors with information about what to do and the overall state of the wiki.

Editors can communicate via talk pages (see the "Discussion" tab at the top of any page) or on the Wiki Discord. It is recommended to check the recent edit history of a page (see the "View history" tab at the top of any page) and the wiki overall (see "Recent changes" on the sidebar).

Editor announcements

  • The wiki is currently ongoing various groundwork changes and many articles/templates/etc. are subject to change.
  • The Linux install guide may need to be updated after recent version self-contained .NET.

Links to monitor

  • Pages with broken file links - Some templates and sandboxes will be stuck with this, but it is good practice to limit new or main namespace pages from being added.
  • Broken redirects - Untranslated pages only, pages that are not present in English should be removed.
  • Double redirects - Shall remain empty. Reorganize any to proceed directly.
  • Unused files - Limit these to a minimum. They may be marked for deletion explicitly but are considered such by default.
  • Wanted pages - Check for pages in need of translation or resolving red links.

Recurring tasks

These are typical wiki maintenance tasks and should be regularly reviewed and acted on.

Corrections

Read through pages (in your fluent language(s)) and correct any mistakes such as typos, grammar, formatting, and/or outdated/incorrect information.

Categorization

Review existing categories and update the included pages as appropriate. New categories should only be added if sufficient need is present and content exists.

Translation

Translate a page into a sub-page with the appropriate language code. Please only translate if you speak the language fluently. See the translation guide for more information.

Context

Linking between pages, setting up infoboxes and navboxes, marking pages for move/merge/deletion, etc. all help the wiki grow and remain up to date.

Useful templates

This wiki features a handful of templates to speed up editing and more easily interface with the structure. Being familiar will help edits go smoothly and adhere to the Manual of Style.

  • {{Vlink}} - Used to link to a version page while only displaying the version ID, or even custom text.
  • {{Dv}} - Used to easily display Δv without finding the Δ symbol.
  • {{Isp}}) - Used to easily display Isp without manually subscripting.
